elders boardfollowing the good shepherdThe Elders Board is the senior leadership group of Beautiful Savior. They oversee the spiritual matters and general welfare of the congregation. With humility and Biblical wisdom they resolve issues that go beyond the ministry groups and staff. They provide the oversight to insure that all activities of the church reflect the purpose and foundational confessions of the congregation. Assisting the pastoral staff, these men love and care for the individuals within Beautiful Savior as shepherds, learning and following the Good Shepherd, Jesus.

To help in providing this care, an elder is assigned to every member at Beautiful Savior. The elder overseeing a flock will provide frequent contact with the members under his care. The elder is available to hear any needs or concerns a flock member might have, treating all conversations in a confidential manner. He will offer them and their family support and resources for both spiritual and physical needs, praying with them, visiting them at home and/or in the hospital as helpful and appropriate, and providing a means for communion when needed. The elder will encourage consistent participation in worship (including in-person worship when possible), Sunday school classes, and Small Group Bible Studies, as well as other congregational events that provide spiritual growth and fellowship.
It is hoped that the relationship between the elder and flock member will develop over time, becoming a two-way relationship. Members are encouraged to contact their elder anytime with urgent prayer requests or care needs, or even offering prayer and support to the elder.
