Women
Our women’s ministry is intentionally designed to help women build deep lasting ties with other women and Christ. It is through these relationships that women serve and are served, grow and are challenged, laugh and share shoulders to cry on. We live real lives...in front of one another and by the same grace we have all received by our heavenly Father through the work of His Son, Jesus Christ.
WOMEN'S FALL RETREAT - NOV 16
Our Women's Ministry Planning team will be hosting a day-long retreat on Saturday, Nov 16, from 9am-3:30pm that features Donna Snow, a prominent LCMS speaker and author. The life story of Joseph is one of the most beloved and chronicled in the Bible. It's a story of broken dreams and impossible circumstances, of family conflict and unfair treatment. From a favorite son to a slave and a prisoner who became prime minister of Egypt, Joseph’s story demonstrates the power and necessity of letting God's love and forgiveness lead. From this retreat, we will come away recognizing our own circumstances in Joseph's story, inspired to place our trust in God. (This study focuses on Genesis 37-50 and Donna will have books available to purchase.)
The retreat costs $40 per person and includes both breakfast and lunch. Lunch will be a boxed lunch catered by Ingallina's, which includes a sandwich of choice, chips and a cookie. You can pay for the retreat online (Women's Event) or by check or cash with a note indicating it is for the retreat. You can register for this memorable time together HERE.

MONTHLY LUNCHEON FOR SINGLES/WIDOWS
Being single, whether by choice or due to life events, is not easy. Sometimes, it can lift up our hearts to spend time with others who know what it's like to make all of the decisions and be responsible for every bill and still care for family and friends. Spare Ribs is a group that meets monthly (last Sunday of the month) for a meal together at a local establishment to connect, commiserate and encourage. The luncheon for September will meet at Jumbo Restaurant & Lounge (Chinese food on 4427 SE Johnson Creek) on Sunday, September 29, at 11:30am. Contact Jacque Stephens (503-771-1034 or email or see her on Sunday) if you plan to attend so she can make reservations.

The Women's Fall Event was a fun afternoon of fellowship, visual faith crafting, devotions, and a light brunch. Everyone had an opportunity to create their own Thanksgiving Scripture journal to help stay centered on Christ during the busiest season of the year!
Four quarterly events are planned each year.
