If you have been to the Wednesday evening Re-Fuel dinner, then you probably know Trish and Cupid, and just what an awesome cook she is. Trish generously spends countless hours every week shopping, preparing and cleaning up for the Re-Fuel meal. She takes pride in what she prepares and it is a real gift for many people weekly. I love to cook too, but I could not do what she does week in and week out, very impressive!

This is just one of the many places Trish joyfully volunteers her time and talents. Trish big-heartedly also serves in several other areas such as LWML, Women’s Ministry, Fun & Friends, Sunday School, just to name a few, and let’s not forget her amazing voice blessing us all on some Sunday’s leading hymns and singing in the choir.

Trish was raised Lutheran in El Paso, TX. and even after her family stopped attending church when she was a young teen, she felt God and continued to follow His promptings. She started attending BSLC in 2009; she says, when she walked in the door the first time she felt the calming presence of God and knew she was home.  Did you know that she is a thespian and currently attending Concordia grad school working on her master’s in education?

Trish is a true advocate and her heart to help and serve is inspirational. Thank you Trish for all of this and the many other things you do in secret daily, weekly and throughout your life. God bless you and overflow your cup.

Lenten services this year have been impacted by Elder Board’s availability to lead the entire series.  However, by member request, we’ve revisited this, and would love to continue it with member’s help.  We’ll base each service on Luke 4:18-19, together with other supporting Scriptural readings, and dig deeper into those verses and what they mean for us, in light of Jesus’ sacrifice for us.  An elder will start the service and provide an outline for worshipers to dig deeper into Scripture.  We’ll begin this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
