DHS STAFF SUPPORT/ENCOURAGEMENT -- MASSAGE THERAPIST TIME?
From a DHS Supervisor: Current staff work loads, along with assisting our sister branch due to their staffing shortages, is leaving staff feeling unusually overwhelmed and discouraged. I think it would be an extraordinary treat and stress-reliever if we could get a couple two hour sessions with a message therapist donated - one time for Caseworkers and one for Permanency Workers.
BRACES NEEDED FOR A CHILD IN AN ADOPTIVE HOME -- ORTHODONTIST?
From a DHS caseworker: I have a 10 year old boy on my case load who could really benefit from braces. He is in his newly adoptive resource placement. His teeth create pain for him and the braces will not only assist with aesthetics but also serve as a medical benefit for this kiddo. The total cost for his braces is $2,701.80 and it's not covered by insurance.
