the doctor is in: lessons from luke
One of the earliest Christians was a physician named Luke. He has left us two Spirit-inspired Bible books, “Luke” and “Acts”, full of priceless teachings from Jesus and information about His disciples. Although medicine has advanced by quantum leaps since Dr. Luke lived, his writings still are full of timeless “prescriptions” written to us for developing healthy discipleship muscles and growing strong churches. During July and August, we will get a weekly dose of useful grace vitamins, and then go out to exercise the faith it inspires.
