called to sea
In many ways, the church is like a ship going to sea. Going to sea can be fraught with both fear and excitement (just ask the disciples who were in the boat when Jesus calmed the storm!). And like those fishermen whom Jesus transformed into fishers of men, Jesus transforms us to pursue His mission in our day, too. In February, we will use this nautical theme to help us recognize our role on board this ship, and become better equipped to live it out.
