Music provides an opportunity to express ourselves to God with words, emotions, and spirit. It is essentially sung prayer. We value a broad base of involvement and welcome those with musical gifts to share in helping us to worship. This is not an opportunity for public notice. We don’t ask for applause. We simply want to facilitate everyone’s communication with God.
Worship Teams
Worship teams are small groups that share a passion and giftedness in music and worship. The worship team connects people to Christ through music by creating a non-distracting, musically balanced format for the contemporary worship songs. Worship teams also contribute pre-service, communion, and special offertory songs. Generally made up of 5-10 members, they include a core group of musicians and vocalists with instrumental compliments where appropriate. There is a 4-5 week rotation for current teams with high school and youth teams serving occasionally during the year. An ongoing mentoring program starting with elementary school students is designed to give kids the opportunity to explore their interests, and then to develop musicians for future involvement in the worship team ministry.
Special Music
In most worship gatherings we provide opportunities for those with musical gifts to share with the congregation. If you would like to share your gift you may contact the church office.
