For the past six months, our ministry protection committee has been reviewing, revising and updating the Ministry Protection Policy for Beautiful Savior. This year’s training will include information on proposed changes and new guidelines to provide better protection for ministry participants and volunteers and staff. Information on the next available Ministry Protection Training is as follows:
What: Ministry Protection is the policy that keeps ministry participants safe by providing rules and guidelines for working with children, youth, and disabled adults.
When: Ministry Protection Training is required yearly for all volunteers seeking positions or working with children, youth, or disabled adults. The first 2010 training is scheduled for SUNDAY, APRIL 11th, 12:15-1:30 pm.
Where: Training will be offered in the BSLC Fellowship Hall. The training coincides with the Mexico Mission Sandwich Giveaway Benefit. Plan ahead, order a sandwich and bring it to training!
Why: BSLC is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for those participating in our ministry activities. We also seek to minimize any vulnerability to unwarranted accusations of improper behavior that our organization, volunteers, and employees may experience as they fulfill their ministerial duties. To fulfill these commitments as fully as possible, our leadership team has adopted a six-step process to be used without exception when selecting ministry volunteers and employees.
