The congregation agreed at the meeting on June 13^th to reduce the Director of Discipleship position to 22 hours per week beginning in September.  To fill in the gap we will be hiring an Administrative Assistant for a 19 hour a week position. 

With the new adjustments to the office staffing now in place, the office will again be open from the hours of 8:00am—4:00pm, Monday—Friday beginning this week. 

With the opening in our Office Manager position we have taken the last month to consider how best to move ahead and we have decided this is a good time to rearrange the office staffing. 

There has been some great interest shown in the upcoming Alpha Course to be led this fall and we are still looking for a few more leaders!

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN for members of the Director’s Board. Positions available include: President, President-Elect, Chairman of Trustees, Financial Secretary, and two Members at Large.

BSLC is joining again with area churches to show the love of Christ in practical ways to our community.  We will be painting, doing construction, yard work, interior cleaning, sewing blankets for homeless youth, and visiting nursing homes. 

There is nothing like being discipled in a group of people to grow to a deeper level of integrity, depth, and authenticity in your faith and in your life.

God consistently calls us to discipleship relationships. In fact, He gave us Jesus to show us in the flesh what discipleship looks like. Jesus, despite all the people and priorities clamoring for his attention, chose to spend his ministry investing relationships with a group of twelve.
