About me:
My wife and I enjoy raising our four daughters ranging from a young adult to those in elementary school. We do a lot together as a family including hiking and trips to National Parks. I coach my daughters in soccer and serve on the North Clackamas School District Budget Committee. I love running, reading, working with plants, hiking, and mountain climbing.
My Role at BSLC:
I have been a pastor since 1998 and at Beautiful Savior since 2002. I serve by working with the leadership to set direction and stay grounded in God and the Bible. It is also my responsibility to design the worship services each week and I usually share the message. I encourage and empower the church staff as their supervisor and I provide short-term solution-based counseling for kids through senior adults, couples, and families.

About me:
I grew up on the East Coast, living in New Jersey and New York. As a teenager I had an encounter with Jesus Christ that changed the direction of my life. Overnight, I felt a call to the pastoral ministry with a strong passion for outreach and spiritual development. After attending a Christian College I served with Campus Life Youth for Christ in New Jersey and Maryland. In the early 70s, I became involved in what was known as the "Jesus Movement." I graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri in 1978 and have served as a missionary in Sri Lanka and churches in New York City, the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Pittsburgh, PA before coming to Beautiful Savior. I have been married to Anne for 32 years and have three adult children.
My Role at BSLC:
I serve as the Pastor of Community Ministry at Beautiful Savior with a focus of helping the congregation to connect to our community and world through Social Ministries as well evangelical outreaches. My position exists to fulfill the congregational goal of using 50 percent of our resources for ministry outside our church family.

About Me:
I love to learn, I love to be creative, and I love being a part of something bigger than myself. I have an educational background in Psychology and Spiritual Formation and am working on my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. When I'm not doing that, you might find me playing a pick-up game of soccer, enjoying a thought-provoking conversation, painting, or hanging out with my husband, Nate. We love exploring Portland together, and we have a lot of fun with our families, friends, and the little ones in our lives.
My Role at BSLC:
As Director of Discipleship, I am here to help you find just the right venue to grow in your relationship with God, grow as a person, and connect with people on the same path; people who know you and get you. I also lead the teams who help create those venues: Small Groups, Adult Education, Fellowship, and Young Adults.
