The primary functions of the Elder's Board are to oversee the spiritual affairs and general welfare of the congregation, and to resolve issues unresolved by ministry committees and staff.

More specifically, the board is responsible for supporting fulfillment of congregational vision & goals, developing and supervising the ministry plan, providing accountability of the pastoral office, formulating staff policies, reviewing theology in worship and teaching, approving church membership, and overseeing the spiritual care of congregation members.
