Simply Giving® is an automated giving program designed to help you conveniently and consistently contribute to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Through Simply Giving®, your gifts are made through a pre-authorized withdrawal from your bank account. You determine the frequency of your automatic gift—weekly, semi-monthly or monthly—the option is yours. Your gift or payment is deposited into BSLC’s bank account on the same day it is withdrawn from your account—at no cost to you or to BSLC. The BSLC Financial Secretary receives the transaction information and reports it on your BSLC Contribution Statement. To get started, fill out an Enrollment and Authorization Form and return it to the church office.

Simply Giving® is a reliable, safe way to move your stewardship plan into action. It allows you to share your gifts through planned giving and activates your generosity into ongoing stewardship. Because your gift is given consistently, you won't need to play "catch-up" at year-end or worry about forgotten checkbooks or missed Sunday offerings. But you're not the only one that benefits. BSLC benefits from steady, more predictable revenues throughout the year, more efficient bookkeeping and greater confidence in meeting its financial commitments.
Simply Giving® Program Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you have to be a member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to participate in the Simply Giving® program?
A: No. This program is available to anyone whose church is participating.
Q: How does the Simply Giving® program work?
A: Your offerings are transferred electronically from your bank or credit union checking or savings account. They are deposited directly into your BSLC’s bank account. As a result, your contributions cannot be lost, stolen or forgotten.
Q: How do I get started?
A: Fill out an enrollment form and return it to the church office. Enrollment forms can be picked up at the church or printed from your computer. The Financial Secretary will enter the information in the computer with Vanco Services. You do not need a computer to enroll in this program.
Q: Are there any fees involved with the program?
A: No. There are no fees charged to you or BSLC.
Q: What is the minimum amount a person may have withdrawn for a contribution?
A: $5.
Q: How often can funds be withdrawn electronically from my account?
A: They can be withdrawn once a week, every other week or monthly.
Q: Can contributions be directed to specific funds within the church?
A: Yes, but at this time, contributions can only be directed to the General Fund.
Q: Can participants make a temporary stop payment or change the amount that is being withdrawn from an account?
A: Yes. Participants can suspend, change or stop withdrawals by contacting the BSLC Financial Secretary. If participants are not able to reach that person, they may contact Vanco Services, LLC or Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Changes should be requested at least five business days before the transfer is scheduled to take place.
Q: Whom do I call if I have more questions about Simply Giving®?
A: Simply Giving® will be administered by Vanco Services, LLC, an outside vendor that Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has contracted with to provide administrative services. Individuals should contact BSLC Financial Secretary (Shirley Lundquist) at 503-774-3154.
